Mission Statement:
Make a difference personally & professionally by passionately creating integrity-based, fun & healthy relationships!
Dan founded Cawley Commercial Real Estate in 1998 to provide business and property owners with an alternative to the multinational, publicly traded real estate service conglomerates. Focused on servant leadership, our teams use integrity-based decision-making and collaboration to create, maintain, or monetize the value of their commercial real estate.
These fundamentals are to understand or help create great purpose in the company’s utilization of real estate. Upend the pyramid by removing ego from all decision-making. Build strengths by recognizing flaws in thinking or processes. Raise expectations and hold to ambitious standards and continual improvement. Blaze the trail for others to participate by identifying and removing obstacles to high-end performance for everyone.
Cawley earned the prestigious & ethics based Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR) designation in 1994 as a result of exceeding the required transaction volume of creditable experience in the highly specialized field of office and industrial real estate. Twenty-five percent of our brokers currently hold this designation, and all new hires are encouraged to follow in those footsteps. Our national reach is focused through the Independent Brokers Group, a subset of the international platform, as our referral network. This allows us to select the best broker in any submarket in the world regardless of company affiliation.
“For a boutique firm like ours, I believed this designation would provide credible testimony to our capabilities to compete with the national real estate firms!”
Dan moved to the Chicago suburbs in 1985, where he worked for 2 boutique commercial real estate firms before his closest client and mentor convinced him and funded the start of Cawley Commercial Real Estate in 1998.
“Significant people have stepped into my life at the exact right time, for which I am most grateful!”
Raised in his family’s real estate business (1977-1987), Dan learned that the industry is subject to numerous outside and uncontrollable influences, and why his late father’s voice constantly reminds him:
“Focus on what you can control. Do what you say and commit to a methodology to ensure consistency in serving the client.”
