In 1991, the Children’s Place Association, began its mission to help children facing poverty and illness today have a successful tomorrow. At that time, the property at 3059 W. Augusta began its service as the office home to CPA and as a second home to the hundreds of medically fragile children who received care from CPA. Now through the successful sale of this property, Optimum Joy will continue to serve the Humboldt Park community by providing access to mental health services.
“With the 1991 opening of its residential skilled nursing facility, The Children’s Place began its mission to help children facing poverty and illness today have a successful tomorrow. The property at 3059 W. Augusta served as home to Children’s Place and as a second home to the hundreds of children that received care from us while battling HIV/AIDS. That program closed in 2020, leading to the recent sale of the property, led by the skilled team at Cawley.” Said Cinaiya Stubbs, President & Chief Executive Officer of The Children’s Place association.
Optimum Joy’s commitment to enhancing mental health services aligns seamlessly with the legacy of compassion and care established by The Children’s Place Association. This transition signifies a new chapter for the property and reinforces the ongoing dedication to serving the community’s needs.
